ReviewTrackers, a leading online reputation management company, experienced a -48% YoY drop in organic traffic to one of its top-performing blogs about responding to reviews in Q1 2022. As ReviewTrackers worked with Perfect Search on other goals, including increasing qualified leads and decreasing the cost per lead from digital advertising, they also tasked us with regaining its lost organic traffic.
Our strategy
Perfect Search first noticed the YoY traffic dip to the top-performing blog in early 2022 and continued to monitor the page until a consistent pattern of decreases emerged.
Our team discovered the majority of the keywords we saw decline YoY were specific to “positive reviews,” showing that the blog was no longer addressing searcher intent for those particular queries and searchers.
Based on these observations and data, Perfect Search recommended that ReviewTrackers write content about how to respond to positive reviews and optimize the existing articles with powerful examples of how to respond to negative reviews.
